Who hasn’t heard about climate change? We have been listening to fringe scientist and environmental zealots push their fears in media often with ominous end dates stating when our world will end. None of these predictions has come true. In spike of this we are constantly fed more scientific data to continue the push to save our planet. Really, save the planet. That makes it sound like a mission all humanity needs to rush into, I mean we have nowhere else to go. However, if you look at our environment throughout recorded history, while taking into account the changes in technology over the last 200 years, not much has changed in regards to our world. We are not going to get into numbers here. The concern now is that people truly believe 1st world countries have the ability to alter our environment.
The majority of worldwide environmental impact comes from less developed countries that use antiquated often harmful techniques in the industrial process. From miners in Asia pouring mercury into the oceans while processing gold to pollutants dumped into rivers by factories in Africa. These acts form our current crisis, pollution. This isn’t a world ending no return crisis that will force nations to adopt economic crippling policies. This is a global issue that can be addressed and controlled by a band of nations. We can’t force change on those that refuse to participate without jeopardizing global stability or further improvising nations already at risk. America, as a world leader, needs to take the initiative by forming a multinational U.S. led task force to clean up common areas of interest.
This approach differs greatly from the idea many world leaders and environmental activist preach. Liberals see climate change as the catalyst for global ideals. If you can unite the citizens of the world behind climate change using fear then the next logical step is to place a governing body to direct individual countries actions. This global agenda isn’t new. The idea has been rooted in business models and partnership agreements for centuries. There has never been a global cause that could be seen as a rallying call that equally affects everyone, until the climate change model. By using this idea, while focusing on deep planted fears, globalists have given world citizens a common cause.
The true issue should be to focus each nation on reducing pollution while insuring legislation does not interfere with a country’s success. Forcing nations to restrict their industry will only hurt world leading nations but also drive struggling economies to decline. A declining economy is a cause for migration and conflict. Neither of which would alter the climate change issue but would create more imbalance globally. If we focus on pollution, nations can work on their own to protect the physical environment while allowing for a global body to offer assistance to countries lacking in antipollution capital. Furthering nationalism is a key element to resolving these issues while encouraging cooperation with neighboring countries.
Pollution is a tangible issue that can be presented in real time. No country can deny that pollution is effects everyone, while people can easily do something about it. Grassroots organizations worldwide can focus on similar issues with minimal expense. Teams from more financially secure countries can be sent in to work with less financially able nations. People will see the benefits immediately, allowing for increased participation without national mandates. All of this can be accomplished without the fear and division that climate change politicians champion
